The 8 th Congress in Montpellier will reaffirm the importance of psychiatry as a discipline future assuming one hand the rate of 10% of health spending (which correspond to mental disorders) and other data epidemiological (reminder: according to the WHO in 2020, 1 in 5 people will be affected, 1 in 3 people over a lifetime).
Therefore it is appropriate that together we make our response to the growing demands of users from the rise of health democracy, the new forms and more and more suffering; they réinterrogent our theoretical-clinical models, and issues of medical and economic performance, and outstanding therapeutic issues facing the rebels and resistant pathologies.
Our ambition is intact and it mobilizes our commitment to heart health, one and indivisible.public or private sector? As if adolescence, aging, risk behaviors, addictions, suicide, know the difference!
Our thinking and our work can not exonerate the tense demographic context of medical and paramedical professionals, diversity in the supply of care that ranges from 1 to 10 which makes access to psychological care very unequal in our country, shift in policy choices with quality of care and difficult to sustain organizations.
This fair approach to service innovation, research, and prevention found in Montpellier space of expression.
Our determination leads us to anticipate the future because “anticipation is always a superiority if well conducted,” as Peter said Deniker. The diversity of our discipline in research, in clinical and basic knowledge will be the source of the success of our conference.
